To unlock your uplink, open your PDA and change your ringtone to the code shown in your character menu. Upon activation, you will receive 100 Telecrystals (TC), the Syndicate's main currency. If you lack a PDA when activated, you will instead receive an uplink implant, which allows uplink access directly. However, the implant still costs telecrystals, even if you did not purchase it. To avoid this, always keep your PDA on you. Almost every item in the uplink is highly illegal Syndicate contraband. Possession can result in a 10-minute brig sentence if discovered. Failing to close your uplink before handing over your PDA can result in Security finding the Uplink and depriving you of it... unless you steal it back or find another one. Uplink implants and other implants can be surgically removed, though they are shielded and cannot be removed randomly.
Each round, Syndicate agents are given codewords, which appear highlighted in red. All traitors know these words, but be cautious: sometimes your objectives will put you against fellow Syndicate operatives. Do not randomly shout codewords over comms unless necessary for your objectives.
Traitors are given 1–3 objectives. These vary in type:
You may be tasked to murder or maroon a specific crewmember. Marooning requires preventing the target from reaching CentCom at the end of the round. If marooning is not possible, killing and hiding the corpse will suffice. Disable tracking beacons on their suit. Hide the body carefully. Only your target needs to die — excessive collateral is considered murderboning and is not allowed unless your objectives explicitly permit it.
You may be required to reach CentCom alive aboard the evacuation shuttle. Do not get captured by Security; they require you alive for objective completion.
A rare objective. You may do anything you want, with one condition: You must die before round end and not return.
The most common objective type. Stolen items are usually in the possession of department heads or near them. Possible theft objectives include:
