The Chemist is like logistics for the Medical department - they supply the grand majority of basic treatments that a Medical Doctor can apply, and even some more advanced ones like cryogenics, pain medication for surgery and advanced topicals. The problem is going to be getting you to focus on that when in actuality you're likely concocting poisons, explosives and ways to mess with the crew so hard they'll demote you to Clown. You're doing it right now, aren't you?
A Chemist's gear is simple, yet will see much use. Knowing how to use it quickly and effectively can be the difference in life and death.
Chemical Goggles | Protective goggles that also happen to have a HUD for identifying chemicals.
Beakers, bottles and vials | All of these can hold liquids, all of these can go in a ChemDispenser or ChemMaster. Some of these have uses outside of those machines or simple mixing though.
Jugs | Hold larger quantities of chemicals. Good for distirbuting medicine.
ChemDispenser | Dispenses chemicals. No, really. That's all they do.
ChemMaster | Stores chemicals in an internal buffer preventing reactions. You can output this buffer in order to make pills and patches.
Syringe | Used to draw samples from mobs, or to inject them with reagents.
Medical Cartridge Autoinjector | Used for rapid administration of medicine. Uses cartridges printable at the medical techfab or NanoMed Plus. |
